词义辨析

以上两个词意思虽然相近，但对英语国家的人来说却是完全不同的单词，一般情况下都能明确区分。

单数形式的a step和a stair都表示一阶楼梯的意思，复数形式的stairs指家里或建筑物内部的楼梯，一般铺着地毯；steps指屋外的台阶，一般位于房前，有两、三阶。室内的阶梯也有叫steps的，这往往是没有铺地毯的。同时，stairs比起steps带有陡且长的感觉。
