词义辨析

以上两个词中文意思相近，有时多少可以互相替换使用，但一般情况下应该使用哪个词都已经预定俗成。

period较常用，可指较长的和较短的时段，如a period of 500 years (500年的时间)、a period of three minutes(3分钟时间)。era表示重要的事件以及该时代的统治者等代表人物所赋予特征的时代，往往起始和终止的年份都很清楚。

Period is a more general word that can describe either a long short period of time.Era describes a period of time that iS defied by specific events.
